New site design and Posterize beta
It turned out to be a busy Sunday. I managed to finally redesign the site to a point where I’m actually happy with it. This doesn’t happen often.
Also managed to revive my old Posterous WordPress plugin called Posterize. Not a stable release yet, but the plugin now uses the Posterous API to post instead of sending an email. “Works like a charm” according to one beta tester.
Give it a try: Posterize 2.0Beta1

Introducing: Podium
Podium is a hosted hockey league manager that I am developing for my adult hockey league. You may recall a few weeks ago I requested help on choosing a name. I received several good options but decided Podium was a good fit since I plan to eventually expand beyond hockey. The application is still in development, but I’m hoping to get the first release out in the next few weeks. It’ll contain just the most basic features needed to manage a hockey league, however I plan on updating often (Release early, release often).
You can follow @podiumapp on Twitter for the lastest updates, or by following me or my blog.

Installing Git on OS X
If you are looking to install Git on your Mac, try the Git OS X Installer. I’ve tried it on Leopard and Snow Leopard and they both work like a charm.

Help me name my web app.
During the winter season I play in an adult men’s hockey league. The league has four teams, referees, a time keeper and fans (ok, player’s girlfriends). We even have a website which a friend and I take care of. This year I wanted to use a league manager to help us keep track of games and players stats, but found that most were either dated, buggy or lacking features. So I did what any web developer would do: build my own.
Although this app is still in development, I’m considering eventually releasing it as a hosted service and adding support for additional sports (currently hockey specific). With that said, I’m looking for help from the online community to find a suitable name for my sports league manager application. I am looking for something that is not too long, and not hockey specific (although can be sports related).
Post any ideas/suggestions you have in the comments section. In a few weeks I’ll compile a list and maybe let everyone vote on what they prefer. Who knows I may even give out a prize to the winning name

Redesigned Twitter profile
I redesigned my Twitter profile page to reflect the new website look. It’s designed to look best on a 1280w screen resolution. What do you think?

iPhone CalDav with Multiple Google Apps Calendars
I recently switched from Google Sync to using CalDav to sync my calendars to the iPhone. There are very little tutorials out there that show you how to use CalDav when hosting your own domain with Google Apps for your Domain. So here is the quick and dirty:
- Open the Settings.
- Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Select Add Account…
- Select Other.
- Select Add CalDAV Account.
- Enter your account information:
- In the Server field, enter [ google.com ]
- In the Username field, enter your full Google Account email address.
- In the Password field, enter your Google Account password.
- In the Description field, enter the name you’d like to appear on the account.
- Select Next at the top of your screen.
By default, this will start syncing your main calendar only. From your browser, visit https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/YOUR DOMAIN NAME/iphoneselect and select the calendars you want to sync.
